I think I have always had a passion for weddings ever since I was a little girl and my family owned a floral business. I would plead to help set up for the weddings and then beg to stay. Etched in my mind are memories of my friend and I waiting outside of our church just to see the bride and groom as they came out, I was captivated by it all.
While working at various corporations and businesses, I volunteered (or organically gravitated) to lead or help create special events such as holiday parties, picnics, beach parties, product launches, trade shows and open houses to name a few. Throughout this time I began uncovering my passion for planning as well as weddings. I started planning weddings for numerous friends and family as well as making my own big day everything I ever hoped for. When I became a stay at home mom after my daughter was born, I decided that I really needed more information and experience to make my dream of becoming a wedding planner a reality. I was truly blessed to have a wonderful and creative wedding planner hire me and teach me what the business is really like. She inspired and encouraged me to open my own business and continues to be mentor and inspiration every day. Now with my own business, I help brides, grooms and their families create original and amazing weddings filled with unforgettable moments.
Like most little girls, I planned my own wedding years before I got engaged. The only thing was, I was no longer a little girl and my personality and ideas were different. I also had to consider what was important to me now, not to mention that I wanted to honor my fiancé’s wishes as well. So, I began to dig deeper to figure out what it was that we really wanted our wedding to be. I discovered through my years of being a training and development coordinator and a manager that if people want to become or create something that is truly special, it needs to happen from the inside out. When a person’s passions, desires and originality shine through, any goal, product or event is an authentic success. So, I developed a special process that helps couples tap into the qualities of their relationship that make it special and unique. Those qualities are what I focus on to help plan their dream wedding and create a truly one of a kind celebration. I have learned that this allows people to enjoy the journey and not focus on and stress about all the little details that can make you crazy. Since we tap into your personality and wants, it makes it so much easier to match you with vendors who complement your wedding needs. You won’t have to spend endless hours doing internet or yellow page searches. We place this kind of genuine consideration and effort into all the details of your dream wedding. I feel truly honored and blessed to be able to help people not only take pleasure in this process, but to relax and enjoy “a moment like this”! Will you work with the vendors I have already chosen? Absolutely, we would love to work with your vendors. If you still need to book other vendors, we also have great vendors that we work with who may be a great match for your needs. Are you a full time or part time wedding planner and do you have another job?
We love your packages and planning services and it sounds great, but it seems so expensive. Can we really afford this? I understand that a wedding is an emotional, financial and time consuming investment and any investment takes serious consideration. On average a bride spends over 400 hours to plan her wedding. Oh my goodness, that's 10 forty hour work weeks! It’s not all about the time; I have had many families tell me how much money they saved working with us, not to mention lessening the stress factor. Several brides have decided that it is too expensive to hire a wedding planner, but have come back to us after their wedding to tell us about some not so great experiences, and budgets that have doubled. Some people have said they ended up so stressed, had to work on their wedding day, or else, it was nothing like they envisioned. Worst of all that they did not even enjoy their day! This makes me want to cry, and I really don’t want anyone to have that type of experience. Does it sound expensive when you consider those unfortunate experiences? I would really encourage you to sit down and genuinely consider what you want from your wedding and call me for a complimentary get acquainted visit so that you are able to get an accurate picture of what we can create together.
Not at all. Intimate or large, it’s your special day and we would feel honored to be a part of it. An intimate wedding still means that you have the same details to attend to. Without question! My role is to be an advocate for you, a guide and a confidant. I’m here to help you realize your dreams. It’s about you and your soul mate, it’s not about me. It's your wedding and your day! Who do you work with best? You will benefit the most from working with me if you want to create an custom wedding but don’t necessarily have time, the resources or the know how to get it all done. If you know what you want but don’t know how to get there or don’t have a clear plan for your big day, that’s where I come in. Who will not benefit from my wedding planning assistance? Please understand that I love helping brides, grooms and their families have the celebration they have always dreamed of, but we really must be a match for one another if we are going to create a special and amazing wedding. If you are a cynic and have some difficulty believing that your day is not within your reach or that you are not deserving of it, then my services are not for you. It’s fine if you fall into this category, but I would encourage you to sit down and really think about what you feel you deserve before we get started.
